Super Smash Bros. Brawl Online Matches (RG121)

Super Smash Bros. Brawl was released way back in 2008, and today I am checking to see if anyone out there is still playing it online! It is unfortunate that Brawl's online mode didn't do anything cool like keep stats or let you communicate with other players, but I guess that shouldn't really be a surprise considering Nintendo's rather lame online gaming history. Hopefully the Wii U will be a lot better though, as the new Super Smash Bros. games for the Wii U and 3DS are looking promising so far! Who else is excited for them? I must admit that when I play Super Smash Bros. with friends, the first game that we usually turn to is Melee. Because of this, I'm a bit rusty when it comes to playing Brawl, and am not completely familiar with all of the characters, maps, and items. I do try my best though, so expect to see a mix of epic victories and horrible fails in this video. Sonic the Hedgehog is usually my main character of choice when I play SSBB. People say that he is cheap and overpowered, although for someone who hasn't played this game in years I don't think that's so unfair! Plus when you add a Smash Ball to the mix it is easy to take out many players within a few seconds. Luckily no Golden Hammers show up in this video, although if I had gotten one I'm sure that it would have been fake anyway. So I hope that everyone enjoys this look into what the heck it is like to still play Super Smash Bros. Brawl online five years after it was released. Maybe in a few months we will try in again, and see if the hype of the new SSB game has caused more people to go back and play Brawl, or if the game is even emptier than it was the night I recorded this.
