Wood Stain Artwork on Dining Table (Succulents) 'Shading with Stain' by Sawdust and Embryos

This table was just a sad honey oak 90's pedestal table until we gave it new life! I stripped off the finish on the top surface to reveal the raw wood grain, then did my signature 'Shading with Stain' technique (more info HERE). For this piece, I chose an image of two succulents (inspired by the gorgeous photography of Ruby & Luna), and stained them with shades of rich browns using nothing but a cotton cloth and my finger. The design covers the entirety of the of the table top, and wraps down around the edge of the surface.
