MY NEW "OLD" TT Bike - And a Hip Surgery Recovery Update

I (Eric) needed some motivation to get back on the TT bike and to keep my mind off of all the fitness I've lost through my hip surgery journey. This bike was initially "lost" in a shipping container during the covid pandemic, and found it's way to us in 2021. I mistakenly thought it was all black, and a copy of a bike we already had, so I never took it out of the box. I'm a bit romantic about it, because I feel slightly old and forgotten myself, as I'm nearing the end of my professional racing career. However, I think I have one last one in me, and I think this is going to be the bike that gets me across the line. In an era where everyone has 2 liters of water strapped to their seats and handlebars, I love the simplicity that the Fuel Cell in the tail fairing and the downtube offers, and I think it's a damn good looking bike. This is weeks 2-6 of a year-long process for Eric to return to professional racing with a repaired hip labrum. He's been trying to work through the pain, discomfort, and increasing loss of performance on the bike and on the run. This episode catalogs the first week post-operation.
