2026年6月22日 新発田あやめ祭り！五十公野公園へ、今が見頃かも 新潟県新発田市

This photo was taken on June 22, 2026. After finishing work, I went to the driver's license center for my annual renewal, which I do every five years. The weather forecast was for a 100% chance of rain, but when I stepped outside after renewing my license, I thought, "Oh, it's not raining yet!" I thought, "Maybe I can make it to Ijikuno Park and the iris festival!" Without hesitation, I headed there. Under towering cumulonimbus clouds that looked like they could start pouring at any moment, I arrived at Ijikuno Park and hurried to the iris garden. The sign at the entrance said, "In full bloom!" Upon arrival, it was quite a sight to behold. I quickly looked around, and just as I was finishing, it started pouring rain, so I hurried away.
