A Noite Não Me Levou | Metal Cinematográfico Português

🎸 THE NIGHT DIDN'T TAKE ME AWAY This song is born from a life marked by fire, exile, and reconstruction. In August 1975, at only sixteen years old, I left Angola under the weight of war. Left behind were my home, my childhood, my cell, and the world where I had learned to recognize myself. But the night didn't take away my memory, my conscience, or my will to continue. I crossed oceans, languages, and continents. In Portugal, I rediscovered my roots; in the United States, I rebuilt my future through study, discipline, engineering, family, and work. Angola, however, remained within me. "The Night Didn't Take Me Away" is not a song of revenge. It is an affirmation of survival, dignity, and humanity. A rejection of hatred, racism, supremacy, tyranny, and all forms of subjugation. They can take our land, our home, and the familiar path. They cannot decide who we will be after the storm. Still whole. Still standing. Still human. Still with faith. 🎼 Genre: Cinematic Heavy Metal / Portuguese Melodic Metal ✍️ Concept, lyrics and artistic production: João Elmiro da Rocha Chaves 🎬 Visual editing: João Elmiro da Rocha Chaves If this song touches any part of your own journey, leave a message in the comments and share it with someone who also survived their night.
