18. Sou Jesus sy dissipels kry in Cowboy Town?

Celebrating 39 years of marriage with a trip down memory lane—and a deep dive into the scriptures! 🍔❄️ In today’s video, we are celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary at the unique Cowboy Town in Krugersdorp. It’s a bitterly cold day, remarkably reminiscent of the exact freezing weather on the day we got married nearly four decades ago! As we sit down in the cozy saloon to escape the wind and warm up over two delicious cheese and bacon burgers, our conversation turns to Matthew 10 and the moment Jesus sends out His twelve disciples. Looking around the saloon, we couldn’t help but ask a fascinating question: If Jesus walked into Cowboy Town today, would He have chosen any of the folks here to be His apostles? Join us as we walk through the streets of this wild-west setup (captured in a beautiful visual collage) and unpack the heavy reality of the first Christian mission: The Calling: What it truly means to be an "apostle" (one who is sent) or an ambassador for the Kingdom. The Mandate: The raw power and authority given to heal the sick, cleanse the leper, and cast out demons—completely free of charge. The "Man of Peace": Unpacking the strategic concept of finding a welcoming home, planting roots there, and not wasting energy where the message is rejected. The Cost: Why stepping out into the harvest field requires pure faith, absolute trust, and a whole lot of guts. Whether you're here for the anniversary celebration, the unique South African wild-west scenery, or a thoughtful study on the radical hospitality and faith demanded by the Gospel, we are so glad to have you along for the journey. Thank you for all your love and support over the years!
