This week, Violet Grohl, singer, songwriter, the daughter of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, and one of rock's most exciting emerging artists sits down with host Jeremy Hecht to make some seriously impossible music choices. From choosing her heartbreak anthem between Billie Eilish and Amy Winehouse to picking between classics and newer favorites, Violet's taste reveals a lot about the artist she's becoming. Jeremy has to use everything he learns to guess the song Violet wrote down as her lifetime anthem. Rounds include morning inspiration picks between Joni Mitchell and The Misfits, a heartbreak covers battle between Billie Eilish and idontwannabeyouanymore vs Amy Winehouse's Take The Box, a complicated love showdown between Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box and Rosalía, Björk & Yves Tumor's Berghain, and a pre-show playlist face-off between The Breeders and PJ Harvey. Violet also had to choose between two of her own songs 595 and Nausea which she covered with her father. Here's how the show works: Jeremy plays two songs at a time for the guest artist, who has to choose one and explain their choice, giving Jeremy a chance to learn their musical taste. Jeremy then has to guess the artist's life anthem at the very end of the show, the song they'd take to a desert island or would want to represent their whole life, which the guest wrote down earlier on a piece of paper.
