Duar the Accursed, by Clifford Ball
A surprizing tale about the Black Tower and the intrusion therein of a barbarian adventurer—a strange weird tale of the love of a queen for her enemy. Today's story is "Duar the Accursed," by Clifford Ball. It appeared in the May 1937 issue of "Weird Tales" on pages 541 to 553. Ball was especially enamored of Robert E Howard's Conan stories. The setting for Duar the Accursed is similar to Howard’s Hyborian Age. ===== Clifford Nankivell Ball (January 24, 1908, New York, New York – January 1947, Baltimore, Maryland) was an American fantasy writer whose primary distinction was having been one of the earliest post-Howard writers in the sword and sorcery subgenre of fantasy. He wrote as Clifford Ball.
