This exquisite piece of poetry, given to me by Sahira Kazmi, the renowned Pakistan Television Producer, was penned by Ahmed Faraz. It happened almost 23 years ago when Sahira entrusted me with the task of composing it as the theme song for her upcoming serial, "Zaibun Nisa." Although the track found its way into the serial in fragments, the complete song never graced the airwaves of PTV. The composition, brought to life by Nayyra's soulful rendition, holds a special place in my memories. I recall the moment vividly, sitting in the studio for the final mix, when my dear friend, the iconic guitarist Amir Zaki, walked in. Upon hearing the song, he expressed an immediate desire to contribute, insisting, "Delay it a bit; I want to play in this song." Despite my initial hesitation, I yielded, and his guitar added a profound layer of richness to the composition. In homage to the enduring spirit of my two exceptional friends, I present to you this composition, a testament to the belief that dreams indeed never die.
