The energy efficiency label is a way to provide consumers with information about the energy efficiency of each appliance, so that they can make their choice based on these characteristics at the time of purchase. The label contains an energy efficiency scale comprising seven different efficiency classes, categorized by letters and colors. The highest end of the scale, green, corresponding to class A, indicates the most efficient appliances. The lowest end, red, corresponding to class G, indicates the least efficient appliances.
