S = Number of cells connected in series A LiPo cell has: 3.7 V nominal voltage 4.2 V fully charged max. approx. 3.0 V minimum voltage Examples: 2S → 7.4 V (fully charged: 8.4 V) 3S → 11.1 V (fully charged: 12.6 V) 4S → 14.8 V (fully charged: 16.8 V) 6S → 22.2 V (fully charged: 25.2 V) 👉 More cells = more power, but also a higher load on the electronics and battery. 🔹 Typical mistakes that destroy LiPo batteries ❌ Deep discharge below approx. 3.0 V per cell ❌ Charging without a balancer ❌ Mechanical damage (squeezing, puncturing) ❌ Storing fully charged or completely discharged ❌ Unattended charging 🔹 Proper storage = greater safety ✔️ Storage voltage: approx. 3.7–3.85 V per cell ✔️ Cool, dry, out of direct sunlight ✔️ Ideally in LiPo bags or fireproof boxes ✔️ Never near flammable materials 🔹 In short: LiPo batteries are safe if you know what you're doing.
