Project GT Kickstarter project was a scam? Fake ung game?

Did you enjoy playing umamusume? What if instead of horses you will have cars? Recently a kickstarter campaign for Kickstarter for Project GT was revealed. The game is a 3D anime-style racing game where race cars are turned into cute anime girls. And it went viral because its basically umamusume cars edition. However Project GT has been exposed as a complete scam run by an unauthorized third party. Why do you think so? So what happened? The actual game developer, Studio Siphon, confirmed they have no involvement with the crowdfunding campaign launched on May 12. The scammers stole early prototype footage from an internal company business plan to create their promotional trailer. Studio Siphon has filed a formal complaint with Kickstarter to shut the campaign page down. The good news is they confirmed that the real Project GT is still safely in development.
