After almost two weeks of forced downtime, my sewing machine is finally back from repairs – unfortunately, the whole thing cost me €160. For my small handmade business, that's a big expense, because behind every hand-sewn product are not only fabric and time, but also many ongoing costs such as the online shop, packaging, legal texts, and much more. In this video, I'll take you along as I sew a custom dog walking bag for a customer. She chose a beautiful baby corduroy with little hearts and had her bag personalized as well. I'll show you how the bag is made, what changes I made to the pattern, and what little mistakes happened during the sewing process.
