The first gold rush in Canada didn't happen in the Klondike, but rather in Beauce, in Saint-Simon-les-Mines, in the early 1860s. A century and a half later, the precious metal still fascinates the region. The company Champs d'Or en Beauce believes the deposit is larger than initially estimated.
