This affordable and reliable intercity train running on the Dhaka to Chittagong route has been very popular with passengers for a long time. In this video, we have highlighted the Dhaka to Chittagong train journey, current status of the train, Indonesian coaches, seating arrangement, fare, schedule, stoppages, locomotive and the complete travel experience. Chattala Express was first introduced on 1 November 2010. Previously, it operated as express train number 67/68, but on 27 August 2020, it was converted into an intercity train and given new numbers 801 Up and 802 Down. Currently, the train covers a distance of about 346 kilometers from Chittagong Railway Station to Kamalapur Railway Station and takes an average of 7 hours and 25 minutes. This Dhaka Chattogram Intercity Train runs 6 days a week and closes every Friday. The train has a total of 580 seats, including first class seats, luxury, luxury chairs, sleepers and AC seats.
