This demonstration, attended by thousands of people, took place on Friday morning, June 19, 2026, at the Jambi Provincial Parliament (DPRD) building. Thousands of people claiming to be from the Jambi People's Alliance began a long march from the RI area to the Jambi Provincial Parliament (DPRD). The protesters expressed their concerns about the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program. They urged the council to continue the program, as they believed its impact was significant for students. After several minutes of speeches, Deputy Speaker I of the Jambi Provincial DPRD, Ivan Wirata, finally came out to meet the protesters. While meeting the protesters, Deputy Speaker I of the Jambi Provincial DPRD, Ivan Wirata, stated that the MBG program must be implemented transparently and free from irregularities. Ivan also emphasized his commitment to zero corruption, zero extortion, and zero markups in the implementation of the MBG program. Furthermore, Ivan also warned against a decline in nutritional quality during the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals program. According to Ivan, the quality and benefits of this program must be truly felt by all Jambi residents.
