Our Container Finally Arrived! | Windows Installed

Our container has finally arrived in Zimbabwe — and this has been a long time coming. In this video, I share an update on our home build journey as we build our house in Zimbabwe while living in China. I also travelled to Zimbabwe around the time the container arrived, which gave me the chance to see some of the items coming in and the first installations on site. Because the house is still a building site, we’re unpacking items only as they’re being installed. The first items to go in were the windows, and this was actually our first time seeing them fully assembled and installed, since we had only seen the frames and glass separately before shipping. I also take you back to the beginning of our window sourcing journey — how we compared multiple suppliers, learned the importance of aluminium window specifications, and finally found the right balance between quality and pricing.
