EL CASTILLO DE VOZMEDIANO | 'UN PASEO POR SORIA', con Iago Benavides

Today we travel to the foothills of Moncayo... the same region that once captivated the poet and journalist Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. It was its magic, its legends, its villages and people, but above all, places like the one we're visiting today: Vozmediano Castle. Within its walls, we find Roman remains, but it wasn't until the Middle Ages that it became a border outpost between the kingdoms of Castile and Aragon, a key location in conflicts like the War of the Two Peters, a time when the walls and the Gothic tower that stand to this day were built. Not long after, with the union of the Catholic Monarchs, the castle lost its defensive function. Centuries had another destiny in store for it: to serve as a final resting place for its inhabitants. Today, along with Iago Benavides and Igor Cacho, we'll discover every corner of this castle and the influence it has had on the region.
