In this video I respond to some of the biggest misconceptions I've seen about Egypt. It should help both tourists and expats deciding whether traveling to Egypt to see the Pyramids, Cairo, and the temples of the Nile river makes sense for them. Egypt is one of the most visited places in the world, but a lot of people have questions: is Egypt safe? Is it dangerous for women? What are the people like? Is it poor? Will I get harassed? I lived in Egypt and can answer all of these questions. Egypt, and specifically Cairo, are different from Western cities, but it doesn't mean you can't have a great time exploring the culture and getting to know the people.
