Scotland camping tour 2026 part 1: Arran, Gigha, Jura

This is part 1 of our June 2026 camping trip to the Hebrides. This video covers the islands of Arran, Gigha and Jura, with Islay, Colonsay/Oransay and Mull/Iona/Staffa/Lunga in part 2. We drove from home near Bristol to Ullswater for a two night stopover before heading to Ardrossan to catch the Calmac ferry to Brodick on Arran. We camped at Lochranza campsite and golf course for three nights (we opted to stay at every site for three nights on this trip). We then move on to the tiny island of Gigha, staying at the only site on the island - next to the ferry terminal - before catching three ferries in one day to get to Jura. In Jura, we staid at the Jura Hotel campsite (again the only one on the island).
