Working in freelance illustration isn't all sunshine and daisies, people. It's helpful to be honest about the problems artists face in their working lives. If you're considering a career in the creative industries, particularly as a solo entrepreneur or a freelancer, it's good to go into it with eyes open so you can be prepared practically and emotionally for the difficult aspects of life as a working illustrator or artist.
