Focusing on Slow Living to Avoid New Build Limbo | Nyssa Blake

I’ve been a little quieter on here lately — partly because I’ve been unwell, and partly because I wasn’t quite sure what to film. We’re in that strange “new build limbo” phase… the house is liveable, but not decorated. The plaster is settling, little cracks are appearing (completely normal!), and we’re waiting before making any big design decisions. It’s easy to feel stuck in this in-between stage. So instead of rushing it, I’m choosing to lean into slow living. In this weekend's vlog, I’m baking sourdough and coffee cake, trying on wedding guest dresses, taking Willow (our puppy) dog training, prepping for our first roast dinner cooked from scratch in this house, heading to a pub quiz, and sharing a few small new build updates along the way. Nothing dramatic. Nothing transformed. Just real life in the middle of it all.
