eMTB Lake District, Grisedale Pike - a deadly 'Sleet How' descent on the Levo

'How' to? Deadly start to the descent. Flat out 60kmh speed trap finish! A doddle to reach the summit and with lots of options to make your way down. Trailforks only really offers up guidance to 2 choices immediately from the summit of Grisedale Pike; 'Hobcarton' into 'Whinlatter Forest' or' Sleet How' down to 'Kinn'. This particular descent seems is really only for competent riders or if you're prepared to walk your bike a short way down the steepest 100 yards. I'm almost certain there's no alternative route to ride the entire stretch safely - it's a do 'and' die type of start. The GoPro and sunlight make it look incredibly flat, more so than I have ever known; but it is sharp jagged rock littered with shale, relentless drops onto more of the same - very dangerous indeed. At certain points the video goes some way to giving a better perspective of gradient and danger. I'll be going back to complete.
