Flower Arranger Rijo Miyamoto Born in Tokyo in 1976, I began learning flower arrangement at the age of two from my grandmother, Hattori Riharu, the founder of the Koryu Toyo-kai, and my mother, Miyamoto Rishine, the second-generation head of the family. I began participating in flower arrangement exhibitions while in college. I have participated in the World Flower Arrangement Conference and the Japanese Flower Arrangement Art Exhibition. In 2009, I was appointed Deputy Head of the Koryu Toyo-kai. Since then, I have been invited to participate in the Jenadriyah Festival in Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, and the "Heart of Japan" International Festival hosted by the Moscow Tchaikovsky Memorial State Conservatory of Music. I have also performed flower arrangement in Moscow, Russia. I have received the Special Jury Award at the All-Japan Flower Arrangement Competition.
