2020 Ridgeline Off Road

The transfer case on the Honda Ridgeline has a slightly higher gear ratio for the rear drive than it does for the front. This, along with separate clutch packs for each rear axle, allows for true torque vectoring. It also has the ability send up to 70% of power to the rear axle with 100% of that power going to either wheel. How does this system work when off-road? Probably better than you think. Don't let the overheat warning turn you away, I climbed this hill about eight times taking the hardest line at the slowest speed I could before I ran into any issues. This system is very capable and should exceed most situations you would be in, apart from recreational off-roading.
