Reykdal: We're Failing Kids After Graduation

85,000 Washington kids graduate every year. Most of them get thrown into a world of loans, applications, credit cards, taxes, voting, and financial decisions they've never been taught how to handle. Washington State Superintendent Chris Reykdal wants to change that. He joined The Gee and Ursula Show to unpack his proposal for a full-year senior class covering practical life skills — building a resume, applying for jobs, financial aid, understanding debt, registering to vote, and more. Listen to the Gee and Ursula Show every weekday at 9am on KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM. Listen to KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM or go to MyNorthwest.com to learn more!
