The Tidbits (Singapore) - 1968 TV Newsreel Clip - I Believe
Here is a 30-second television newsreel clip of The TITBITS from 1968. I also slowed it down to their recording of "I Believe" so you can enjoy this rare video clip a second time. The TIDBITS were SERENE WEE (13 yrs old), her sister MERLINA WEE (12) and their cousin BERNEDETTE DE SOUZA (12). When the three young girls won the RTS Talentime Competition of 1967/68, they created quite an excitement in Singapore. They drew crowds by the tens of thousands everywhere they made a live appearance. They won the Finals with "I Believe." The grand prize, a recording contract with RCA. The song was released on their first EP record, backed by The Trailers. "Tiga Serangkai," Malay for three-leaf clover.
