I used a drone to deploy a Meshcore/Meshtastic repeater in a tree

In this video I deploy a Meshcore repeater node 14 meters up in a tree using a DJI Mini drone and a payload dropper. Instead of climbing, I flew the drone over a branch with a line attached, then released it with weights to secure it in place. Simple, effective, and no ladder required. The node is a Seeed Studio Solar P1, running Meshcore as a repeater. Signal improvement was noticeable but Meshcore makes it tricky to measure exactly how much. This method works great for getting nodes up high without any risky climbing. If you're building out a Meshcore or Meshtastic network and want better range, elevation is everything. I used a 0.4 mm fishing line and in the end i used only one m20 nut to give weight to the line. The airdrop device was bought from Amazon, there are many variants out there.
