In the session Cassettes, Letters, and Gentle Love: The Extinct Trio, filmmaker and lyricist Anindya Chattopadhyay, actor Saswati Guha Thakurta, and percussionist Tanmoy Bose came together to reflect on lost forms of intimacy, nostalgia, and cultural memory. The conversation was moderated by Debanjan Chakrabarti, Director, British Council (East and Northeast India). Presented at Chapter 2 of KCC Baithakkhana, this evocative session traced the tenderness of handwritten letters, the texture of cassette tapes, and the quiet love that often doesn’t survive in the digital age. Curated by Chandril Bhattacharya and Sanchari Mookherjee, the three-day literary meet—an Emami CSR initiative—was hosted by Kolkata Centre for Creativity and focused on হেরো (The Defeated) in literature and popular media.
