Kawasaki's Nightmare: 20,000 Bikes Grounded!
In 2025, Kawasaki, Ducati, and Harley-Davidson all issued safety recalls on some of their most popular motorcycles. Then all three had to issue second recalls, because the first fixes failed. Nearly twenty thousand Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R sport bikes were grounded with "do not ride" orders. Ducati's Panigale V4 superbike went back to the dealer twice for the same melting brake hose. And Harley-Davidson discovered that the replacement parts in their Sportster S recall kits were themselves defective. Three brands. Three countries. Three completely different mechanical failures. And the same result every time. The recall didn't work.
