Monforte de Lemos is one of the cities with the richest history and heritage in Galicia, and one of Spain's best-kept tourist secrets. In this video, we take you on a tour of it from top to bottom: from the impressive monumental complex of San Vicente do Pino—with its Keep, the Benedictine monastery, and the palace of the Counts of Lemos—to the spectacular Mirador do Duque viewpoint overlooking the Sil Canyon. Along the way: the Jewish quarter and the ancient medieval wall, the College of Our Lady of Antigua (the "Escorial of Galicia") with two original works by El Greco in its art gallery, the Convent of Santa Clara and its impressive Museum of Sacred Art, the Ponte Vella bridge over the Cabe River, the Pazo de Tor manor house, and the Galician Railway Museum.
