A timeless, Sheffield classic; A. Wright & Son Lambfoot in Ebony
Salutations Ladies and Gentlemen! Today, I'll be discussing a knife I'd previously showcased; the Arthur Wright & Son Ebony handled Lambfoot. Unfortunately, my first model snapped at the center of the spring, leaving me one Lambfoot down! I desired to remedy this, so I bought another one at a different retailer. This piece was checked to ensure a lesser spring-tension, so as to minimize the likelyhood of breakage. The knife features a C70 carbon steel spring and Lambfoot profile blade. The bolsters are nickel silver, the liners and pins are brass. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the spring was on this particular knife. Unlike many A. Wrights, the stiffness is far from uncomfortable. Sadly, the knife did come with some very slight blade-play, and the blade itself is slightly offset. If not for these two minor complaints, this is an excellent knife, especially for carry. Arthur Wright has still got a lot to offer for the user market, it would seem!
