Lenovo Ideapad Y700 15.6-Inch Gaming Laptop Review

Buy it on Amazon - http://lon.tv/r3tfb (affiliate link) - Lenovo has put together a pretty powerful gaming laptop that can be configured for under $300. See capture gameplay footage here: http://lon.tv/2y30w VIDEO INDEX: 00:02 - Hardware overview 05:45 - Boot time and bloatware 06:59 - Grand Theft Auto ( GTA ) V 09:01 - Rocket League 09:49 - Minecraft 10:34 - 3DMark Cloud Gate Benchmark 11:20 - 3DMark Fire Strike 12:16 - Conclusion and final thoughts For under $1000 the laptop can very nicely run modern games like Grand Theft Auto V. Some of the settings need to be reduced but for the most part image quality should exceed that of a next generation gaming console at 60fps. My only real gripe with this laptop is the trackpad. It requires a very deep push to register a click and feels a bit clumsy. It's clear we are about to see a huge reduction in price on high performing gaming PC's. It also looks like Dell has a comparably configured PC for only $799. ERRATA: The QHD display I mentioned is actually a 4k UHD display. Also the computer defaulted to the Intel graphics for the Minecraft test.
