Making a 106 Layer Kitchen Knife

I create a 106-layer damascene kitchen knife of O2 and 15N20 tool steel with a cutting edge of silver steel. The 105 layers of O2 and 15N20 are already available from a previously forge-welded bar. Therefore, I need to shape the forge-welded bar and the silver steel in the right form and weld them together for good. Afterwards, I grind and forge the blade into its rough shape, remove excess material, conduct the heat treatment, refine the blade, make the handle and the knife is done! Quite simple – but not easy :-) The four main steps are forge welding and shaping the knife, doing the grinding, performing the heat treatment and making the handle for the knife. I hope you are going to enjoy the video and I am looking forward to your thoughts and comments to see what you are thinking – what do you like and what could be done differently?!
