Multiplier Bearings - Episode 2 of 2: ABEC 7 & 9 Bearings

Disclaimers: I am not suggesting you do this modification (or any modification) as doing so will most likely void your warranty. I am not an expert on this matter, I just want to share the results that I have gotten from my little experiment/s. Not all multipliers have bearings on their spools. Also, a flick of the thumb to make the spool spin is not an accurate method of testing bearings, it does give you an idea of how it performs. Here I show the difference in performance of ABEC 7 & 9 bearings on the Akios Nitron F15 reel - dry & with lubrication (Rocket Oil) However, the principle should be the same with any other multipliers with bearings on their spool. The spool is loaded with approximately 300 metres of 40lbs braid. And the reel has not been fine-tuned/centred as of the shooting of this video.
