E-flite Conscendo 2.0m PNP with AS3X+

Once again a shout out to Jon at Two Brothers RC for his recent review of the Eflite Conscendo 2.0 with AS3X+. He mentioned a flight control programming tip, mixing FLAPS and ELEV to increase PITCH authority. I still use a 6S 3300 mAh lipo and get a good 6 minutes of flight with throttle management. Much more if doing more soaring than aerobatics. While setting a "CROW" mix is not new, for this model mixing the FLAP to ELEV to increase PITCH responsiveness added the aerobatic dynamic of square pull out maneuvers and extremely tight circles with little hint of stalling. I do not normally "slap" the ELEV control stick back for normal flying, but it is really something to see this motor glider pull off square vertical maneuvers with sudden full positive pitch input and not have an aerodynamic stall or departure. Its Conscendo flying like your "mad at it," yet it seems to take it again and again. Also, the Conscendo FLAT SPIN maneuver is similar to the Draco. The maneuver and recovery is just as Jon describes. If you get the Conscendo into a FLAT SPIN, it has a tendency to stay that way unless you actually "fly it out." FULL DOWN ELEV and add power until the spin stops. Make sure you have a good airspace to ground margin while practicing. I pancaked mine into the ground on my 2nd try and nearly did it again on my 3rd. I was lucky and simply bent the gear struts, which I removed and was able to fly again. Conscendo is more than a motor glider / warm liner. It's a fun "beast."
