When will I go into labor? What week is most common to go into labor?
How likely is it that you will go into labor anytime soon? And when do most women go into labor? While there is absolutely no reliable way to tell, when exactly, you will go into labor (neither an ultrasound exam, nor any signs of labor can tell you for sure), it is certainly possible to talk about "probabilities". So, in this video, Nathalie Kaufmann, Pregnancy and Birth Consultant and TCM Therapist, and Mathias Ritter, Researcher and Science Geek, try to give you a rough idea about when your labor is going to start. First, they tell you the general probability of your labor to start within a certain pregnancy week, based on statistics. Then, they try to narrow down the time frame within which your labor is likely to start, by looking at what your body is telling you. And they do that in two ways: First, they talk about the Bishop score which is a measure for how ready your cervix is for labor. And they also briefly discuss what factors the Bishop score comprises and how it COULD be helpful in estimating the time frame within which your labor will start. Afterwards, they also look at the signs of labor and how they could give you a rough idea about when your labor will start. To be precise, they look at secondary signs of labor that tell you that your body is preparing for labor. And they also look at primary signs of labor that often tell you that labor is 24 to 48 weeks away. ------------ FREE CERVIX PREPARATION GUIDE: Download our free labor preparation and induction guide here (https://careaboutlittleones.com/labor...) in which we show you how to prepare your cervix for labor!
