Dalton Wilcox is the self-proclaimed Poet Laureate of the West and a man who takes "loving the land" to a literal, shovel-ready level. When he’s not busy promoting his unwieldy book, You Must Buy Your Wife at Least as Much Jewelry as You Buy Your Horse, Dalton is a vigilant (if slightly murderous) protector of the plains, specialized in identifying vampires, mummies, and monsters by their suspicious lack of knowledge about the "Cowboy Way." Whether he’s whittling a custom wooden prosthesis, evading the "city slicker" authorities after a misunderstanding involving a 40-mph wind, or preparing for the literal apocalypse, Dalton remains a man of quiet courage and very questionable rhymes.
