Yes, we had to paint it, and yes.. we had to put the electronics into this beast - but Cardinal Racing offers both Gas Powered vehicles or Electric options. As I sat in the shade .. these tires continued to heat up as I ripped around and around .. and the tires were so hot they were squealing with every motion and body roll. So FRICKEN COOL! I have also installed an MGM Controllers TMM 40063-3 for Cars X2-SERIES PRO 500 AMP (63V capable) Electronic Speed Controller, paired with a LEHNER 3080 sensored, brushless motor - Both Capable of 15s Lipo. I am using a Reefs RC "Beast 2000" Steering Servo, delivering just under 2000oz of torque at 12v, and over 2000oz at 14.8 volts. I got this servo at http://www.ReefsRC.com !
