This was on the back of countless bands of rain that had already saturated the ground and as a result, this happened… Saturday Morning It's still raining and the river level at Saltaire has just reached 1.8m Saturday Afternoon The rain has stopped, but the river level at Saltaire is still rising, breaking the previous record of 2.18m Saturday Evening The river level at Saltaire peaks at 2.84m The rescue! Whilst trying to turn his car around, an older gentleman is swept down Green Lane. He becomes wedged up against a Billboard on Otley Road. Sunday Morning The full extent of the damage becomes apparent!
