In this episode, we've completely changed the course of our farm: I've bought the forest land I've dreamed of for years and officially entered the timber industry. This isn't just "logging" — we're building a complete production and trading chain, from the land to the factory, from raw materials to the final product. In this video, I show you every step I take, the logic behind the decisions, and the potential returns on investment in detail. You'll experience everything step by step, from equipment selection to safe logging techniques, from log transportation logistics to timber sales strategies. It combines role-playing enjoyment with realistic farming/forest economics elements. Key points to see in this episode: The process and cost of buying new forest land. Introduction to the necessary machinery and equipment for logging (site preparation, harvester/forwarder, loader, lumber truck, etc.). Advantages of the forest area on the Uşak map, logistical advantages, and connection points. Roleplay moments: funny mishaps, team coordination, the excitement of the first sale. Why lumber business? Lumber is a high value-added sector in FS25. Unlike farming, forest management requires long-term planning, patience, and the right equipment. With the right strategy, lumber becomes both a sustainable source of income and diversifies the farm economy. In this section, I discuss both short-term sales opportunities and long-term returns on investment. Step-by-step process (the order I followed in the game): Land exploration and selection — slope of the land, road access, and tree density were checked. Procurement and site preparation — cutting roads, storage area, and truck parking were created. Equipment setup — harvester (tree cutting & peeling), forwarder (log transport), loader, and lumber trucks prepared. Cutting and processing — trees were safely cut, logs were sized and classified. Storage and drying — high-quality logs were properly stored; lots were prepared for sale. Transportation and sales — loading to bulk sales points, negotiating, and securing the highest price. Revenue recording & analysis — total revenue, expenses, profit, and a plan for future investments were created. Equipment used (as shown in the game): Harvester — cuts and peels the tree and cuts the logs to standard size. Forwarder — transports logs from the cutting area to the storage point. Loader/Forklift — used for loading onto trucks. Lumber truck & trailer — for long-distance sales. Support equipment: chainsaw, pallet trailers, warehouse forklifts. Economy & Profitability (in-game data and logic): Throughout the episode, I've shown costs and income transparently: land cost, equipment depreciation, fuel and labor costs, and gross income from lumber sold. If a lumber line is managed correctly, the payback period varies depending on the conditions in the game — I've made both optimistic and cautious calculations in this video. I show that my investment in the new field and forest will provide significant added value to the farm in the medium term. Strategic tips (applicable for FS25 players): Start with a small area and reinvest the profit. Adjust your logging schedule according to the season; road access is important. Negotiate in bulk sales, follow price fluctuations. Renting equipment may be cheaper initially; buying is more profitable in the long run. Play with sustainability: plan to replant after each logging (roleplay + sustainable economy).
