I Camped Alone in the WILDLIFE Capital of GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK
In Episode VI, I camp alone in the best campground for wildlife in Grand Teton National Park, and had close encounters with both Moose and a massive Bull Elk! Grand Teton National Park is one of the most beautiful national parks in America, and possibly the best for wildlife, where you can see Moose, Elk, Grizzlies, Bison and more. This is the next chapter in my "Six Weeks Out West" adventure! After finishing up my week long solo backpacking trip in Glacier National Park, I eventually made my way down to the Tetons. I had a night to kill before beginning my NEXT week-long backpack, so I decided to spend a night at Gros Ventre Campground. Here, moose are everywhere and its a dream come true for someone like myself. Not to mention the fall colors of Grand Teton were in peak form. In late August, I departed New York City for the western part of North America where I spent the next 6 weeks backpacking with grizzlies, camping on mountain tops, and exploring the mystery of bigfoot in what become the greatest adventure of my life. This is episode 6 from my "Six Weeks Out West" series. This six week trip was absolutely action packed with nonstop backpacking action, wildlife encounters, and bigfoot expeditions. After leaving Glacier National Park, I drove the open Montana country side and it was just gorgeous. I even made sure to take the most scenic route possible, which had me driving through Yellowstone on my way to the Tetons. Camping in Grand Teton National Park at the peak of fall colors, surrounded by wildlife may have just been my single favorite day while out west! And go RED SOX!
