Over the course of the blizzard, 12 ships were lost with all hands, and dozens more were stranded. The stories of the SS Charles S. Price launched in 1910, and the SS Regina, launched in 1907, two victims of the hurricane, somehow became entwined in a mystery that baffled the area at the time and still leaves unanswered questions today.
