Let's check what Hisako Tabuchi used for toddle’s EQD session, in a new episode of Board to Death! Hisako picked the Arrows and Plumes as boosters to push her trusted Blues Driver and Klon she has been using with her old Marshall, that she sets clean. Stacking multiple dirt pedals has been her way to deal with the loudness her amp has. Arrows is the best tool to make her tone cut through the mix as it's EQ’ed to have a slight boost in the midrange while shaping the low-end and top-end. And this way, you don't have to bump up your volume and it keeps the band ensemble intact. By using Plumes to push the signal coming into a dirt pedal, Hisako gets a nice volume boost and biting feel to her playing. This is a nice way to supplement that biting feel your amp might lose when you have to tame the volume on tube amps. Hisako points out how she loves the sparkling airy feel from the Dispatch Master delay/reverb and Ghost Echo reverb, which from other delay/reverb pedals, and adds a sweet vibe to her single note melodies.
