Exponor 2026 consolida a Antofagasta como capital minera de la región

In a conversation with Fernando Cortez, general manager of the Antofagasta Industrial Association (AIA), we analyzed the results of Exponor 2026, an event that brought together 1,380 companies from 36 countries and featured 18 international pavilions, solidifying the exhibition as one of the leading business and networking platforms for the mining and energy sectors globally. The interview also addressed the main topics that shaped the event's agenda, including competitiveness, innovation, productivity, and sustainability. The growing prominence of technology providers and mining-related startups was also highlighted, reflected in initiatives that showcased new solutions to the industry's operational challenges. In a context of increasing demand for copper and critical minerals, Exponor once again positioned itself as a strategic space for projecting the development of Chilean mining, strengthening regional capabilities, and promoting collaboration among companies, suppliers, and institutions linked to the sector.
