Lama Atisha’s Advice on the Heart of Practice with Charok Lama (Lesson 2)

This five-week course offers a guided exploration of Atisha Dipamkara Shrijnana’s presentation of the 21 Supreme Aspects of the Path , a concise framework that illuminates the essential structure of the Buddhist path. Rooted in the classical lamrim tradition, these twenty-one qualities point to how the path is begun, sustained, and completed. Rather than approaching the material as a fixed philosophical system, this course emphasizes lived engagement. Each session introduces a cluster of these “supreme aspects” as practical lenses for examining one’s own experience: how we relate to guidance, how intention is shaped, how ethical discipline stabilizes the mind, and how insight begins to transform perception. The aim is to recognize their relevance within the rhythms of daily life and practice. Participants will be supported in developing a more coherent sense of the path as an integrated whole. By repeatedly situating individual practices, such as refuge, renunciation, bodhicitta, and insight, within this broader architecture, the teachings become easier to internalize and apply.
