The Dark Reality of Van Life For Landscape Photography

The other guys don't seem to be in a rush to capture the best of that pre-sunrise light but I'm gagging for it. We all hop into the rave-mobile to visit a spectacular overlook but will we make it on time? The sky camera captures some glorious moments and I even bust out the 400-800mm on the Sony A1 to capture some telephoto vignettes. After that, we pile into Hanksville for some dirty business (literally). This is the part of Van-Life that totally sucks but Gregz stinky slinky gets me in the mood for a gigantic vanilla milkshake. At first I'm loving the sweet, milky taste but when Thomas Heaton gets super sensual I quickly lose my appetite. We fill the afternoon hunting for fall colours along the highway with some beautiful trees that are just past their peak but perfect for autumn photography. Sunset is glorious with some luscious backlit cottonwood trees but I'm not sure about Toms idea to photograph mud cracks. I climb down to see what the fuss is all about and it's actually surprisingly good...for Tom. Will my new look cause an internet sensation and how many hours of sleep did Greg get? Did all of our stuff fly out of the fridge door while turning right and what did I get all over my feet? There's really only one way to find out.
