How to Build a Canoe Seat
Check out my free PDF! "3 Simple Tricks to Save You HOURS on You Skoolie Build" here: https://aw1962b2.aweb.page/p/50208e72... We broke both out canoe seats on our last Machias River trip. The rear one managed to stay together enough to work, but we had to cut the front one out! They cost $40 to buy, but I was pretty sure that I could build one cheaper. Most of them are made from Ash, (I believe) but I had some birch kicking around the shop, so I used that. I had hoped to reuse the webbing, but it turned out to be too much of a hassle to pull the staples, so I ended up buying new webbing. It was worth it! I used this: https://amzn.to/2RPRGVU Be sure to use galvanized staples that will hold up to the weather. https://amzn.to/37S901W (I love Porter Cable stuff!) Tough to find the stainless screws. I finally found these here: https://www.tgwatersports.com/old-tow... (I am not an affiliate for them, the screws worked great, though!) Best of luck! Feel free to post any questions in the comments! See you on the river! Ted Disclaimer: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Thanks for your support!
