The documentary takes us to Italy's northernmost region, Trentino-Alto Adige, to discover a valley unlike any other: the Val di Non, a vast green space with millions of apple trees arranged in rows, offering a unique and characteristic landscape. The film highlights Trentino's long agricultural tradition centered around apples, an interesting project for the conservation of historic species, and the journey the apple takes from the tree to its unique and original preservation. For the first time, this process takes place deep underground, approximately three hundred meters below the ground, in a project unique in the world. Part of the documentary focuses on the creation of apple desserts, a traditional South Tyrolean dish, and on the discovery of the Val di Non's natural scenery—the picturesque canyons, the lake, and the castles that tower majestically over this land. A strong passion for this fruit has allowed the locals to thrive and preserve the ancient and profound relationship that has always distinguished Val di Non, which we can truly call the Valley of Apples!
