Bali, Indonesia Tour Welcome to Bali – the Island of the Gods! But before the adventure begins, I've already had a long journey. With two stopovers in Beijing and Jakarta, I finally reach my destination: the tropical dream island of Bali. For the first two nights, the Bakung Resort is my home. The location couldn't be better: The beach is only about 50 meters away, the airport is nearby, and the city center with its numerous restaurants, cafes, markets, and shops is also within easy reach. During the day, it's a relaxed holiday atmosphere, and in the evening, the city comes alive. To see as much of Bali as possible, I rent a car for a day. My destination is two of the island's most famous sights. First, I head to the impressive rice terraces. The artfully arranged, lush green fields stretch across the hills and impressively demonstrate how harmoniously humans and nature coexist here. No wonder this place is one of Bali's most popular photo spots. My journey then takes me to the famous Ulun Danu Lake Temple. Surrounded by tranquil waters and picturesque mountains, the temple appears to float on the lake. The peaceful atmosphere and unique setting make this one of the most beautiful places on the entire island. Bali captivates with its fascinating nature, cultural treasures, and relaxed lifestyle. Even though my stay is short this time, the island leaves a lasting impression. But the journey is far from over. Tomorrow, the next adventure awaits: I'm off to East Timor, a country that few travelers visit and that promises many new experiences.
